Setting up Your Still Life

This was a simple still life I chose to do when my hydrangeas were blooming.
I was a bit short on blooms so used my artistic license to add a few to the vase

Lemons are simple and fun to paint, just on a cloth background which you learn has many colours other than grey! One of my favourite artists Cezanne (below), liked painting cloth, it can be very satisfying and therapeutic as well.
